We have worked tirelessly to produce a college system that could go with the student rather than demanding that the student abandon their mission for a couple years to be anchored to a desk. The result is an off-campus program that makes Agape Bible College a school with a global campus, resulting in Agape International University.

Our correspondence program has allowed us to provide degree programs to ministers who cannot leave their churches, housewives who must stay with their families, missionaries in isolated mission posts, inmates in correctional institutions, patients in long-term medical facilities etc.

The vision for an affordable and accomidating school of highter education was the dream, passion and vision of Dr. Karen K. Pelizzari. Having been in a place of poverty but always desiring to obtain a biblical education, the Lord heard the cries of her heart and offered an opportunity to fulfill a life long dream. In the breaking beyond the limitation of our walls, we have begun to fulfill Dr. Karen Pelizzari’s mandate but, also the directive left to us by Jesus Christ Himself: ”Go ye therfore and teach all nations...” -Matthew 28:19
OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH
- We believe in one God, one Creator and One Lord of the Universe.
- We believe in the Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; three in one.
- We believe that Jesus Christ, God’s Son, was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin, Mary; that He lived a sinless life and died as a substitute for our sins, taking the punishment that our sins deserved.
- We believe that the bible is without error; that it is the final authority in all its teachings.
- We believe that as Christians we must submit to the divine authority of the Bible in all matters and our conduct should demonstrate true righteous and holy living.
- We believe that every person born on earth is born with a sin nature; that they are lost and cannot see the Kingdom of God except through the new birth.
- We believe justification is received by faith in Jesus Christ alone.
- We worship Jesus Christ and follow the Bible’s command to preach the Gospel among all nations.We believe by doing this, we demonstrate His compassion and love to all people.
- We believe in the necessity of the work of the Holy Spirit; the new birth and growing to maturity by renewing the mind and getting a new way of thinking.
- We believe that Jesus Christ will return in His glory to raise the dead, and will bring salvation and deliverance from evil in the present world. We believe our soon returning King will establish a new heaven and new earth in which He will be glorified forever and believers will no longer fight with evil, suffering and death.
We at Agape International University/Agape Bible College/Shalom Bible College/ School of Gamaliel Seminary desire to demonstrate God’s love to all, especially the forgotten, the social outcast, and those behind prison bars. We will proclaim that his love and forgiveness are available to all people.
Our History
Agape International University/Agape Bible College is an independent school of higher learning serving all religious denominations. The student body and faculty reflect various types of church backgrounds, rather than any one denomination. The institution grants degrees to those who satisfactorily complete the prescribed course of study.
The school’s history dates from 2004 when Agape Bible College was chartered under Shalom Bible College was chartered under Shalom Bible College and Seminary, which is incorporated in the state of Iowa. Agape Bible College is also incorporated in the state of Texas under the umbrella of Agape Christian Center of Central Texas, Inc.
In addition to training ministers and professionals in the ministry, the school has helped thousands of Christians gain a greater understanding of the Bible and has prepared them for the challenges of Christian life.
In the last several years, educators around the country, including all of us here at Agape International University/Agape Bible college have seen a defining new trend in education. More and more, education is becoming decentralized and less campus-focused. This trend seems to be true in all areas of education, especially in colleges.
We here at AUI/ABC are very thankful that God has allowed us to be more than trend observers; we have been trendsetters. Because of His vision, insight and forethought- or should we say “prophetic knowledge’ - we have developed a Bible based curriculum which we can offer to the world through correspondence studies and extension campuses. We have become acutely aware of the fact that traditional campus-based education will prove increasingly impractical for a greater number of people as their lives become more and more mobile. with this keen insight, we have worked tirelessly to produce a college system that could go with the student rather than demanding that the student abandon his mission for a period of years to be anchored to a desk. Our Schools
AGAPE BIBLE COLLEGE
This is our undergraduate school, our foundation and that of our students. While working toward an Associate of Arts in Biblical Studies or a Bachelor of Arts, Students will obtain a deeper understanding of the Bible and all that is written in it.
Shalom Bible College and Seminary has been an accredited institution of higher education since 1990. They have recently turned over all of the newly enrolling students in their prison education program to Agape International University to accommodate a reduction in their staff.
SHALOM BIBLE COLLEGE
SCHOOL OF GAMALIEL
The School of Gamaliel is a Seminary program designed by Dr. John Pelizzari to train ministry leaders. This school is specifically designed for those who desire to obtain their minister’s licenses and has a strong emphasis on leadership training.
AGAPE INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY
Agape International University is our post-graduate school offering differing Master and Doctorate level Programs for those who desire to continue their studies and become even more informed in the Word of God.
PRISON OUTREACH
Agape Bible College through the Shirley Chitwood Memorial
Foundation Scholarship program is proud to provide courses to
inmates at no charge to them.
As of March 1, 2024, foundation funding makes available courses
1001-1025 to each inmate, regardless of location, for no charge.
Completions of these 25 courses is rewarded with a Basic Certificate
of Achievement in Recognition of their studies.
We encourage inmates to reach out to family or friends to request
donations to the foundation to express their appreciation for the foundation’s scholarship program.
Agape Bible College has reduced the tuition for the remaining courses in the Associate of Arts in Biblical Studies to $5 per ECU to help make it possible for them to continue their studies. This helps cover the cost of printing the material for the course to send it to them. Shipping is not charged to those in prison.
Registration fees, transfer credit fees and graduation fees will be waived or greatly reduced for all prison inmates regardless of location.

We are completely self-paced school. There is no actual due date. We only ask that you keep in touch to keep your record alive.
No. We do not require a certain translation, however, the answer keys are written from KJV or MSG translation. Reading other versions is encouraged.
Currently, the courses are availible to be sent by email.
Fully online courses are being added to the website.
Not to worry. We are willing to work with your financial needs. Payments are only required on a per study basis, and you can pay out any other charges over time.
We currently have a scholarship fund covering the first 25 courses for those who are in prison.
For those not in prison, please contact our offices to apply for help with tuition.
